AWI Standards

a) Installation shall be compatible with distinctive features and construction techniques characteristic to the historical period or periods of restoration, outside of this installation shall comply with ANSI/AWI 0620 Finish Carpentry and Installation.

b) Where new materials are required to be distressed to be compatible with the historical period or periods to be restored, mockups shall be approved by the design professional or conservator.
